The oldest hotel of Norcia is situated on a side street of the ‘Corso’ 10 metres from the main square. Historically The Hotel Grotta Azzurra, that began as an Inn, is where the family Bianconi’s long tradition in the world of hospitality first started in 1850. The family atmosphere is the true character of this hotel in Norcia as are the beautiful 16th century rooms with their arched vaulted ceiling that host the Hotel’s renowned restaurant. The rooms are all different, a feature of many hotels in historic centres. There is something for everybody, from large rooms with Jacuzzis to the smaller rooms with small terraces that look out onto the Sibylline mountains or the roofs toward the St Francis auditorium.
